PRESENTATION
Activity Name:  People Work – Song
Time: 20 minutes
Aims: To make them be able to pronounce the names of professions correctly.
Procedure:  Teacher starts the lesson with a song that teaches professions. She sings the song while it is playing from background. She encourages students to sign with her. She stops right after every line and says it slowly to whole class. After the video is shown completely, she asks them to sign with her as much as they can. She may also give students roles so each student will have one of the professions that in the video and signs on his/her part along the song and on the chorus part they all sign together with teacher as well. All students can do that by turns or class can be divided into 8 groups and each group can have a profession.

Activity Name:  Guess my profession
Time: 25 minutes
Aims: To make them be able to pronounce the names of professions correctly.
Procedure: Student chooses a profession out of the box/bag but doesn’t tell. Rest of the class tries to guess by asking yes/no questions.
Students can also ask questions like, “does s/he uses chalk?”
Or wh- questions can be asked as well like “what where she works?”
Questions should be modeled by teacher first to students in order to make them be confident enough to do that by themselves.
Another version of this game can be played by acting out as the profession they pick from the bag as well.
