Unit 12: Seasons Weather Conditions

1)      PRESENTATION
The teacher firstly talks about the related unit seasons. After doing this, she starts to speak her favourite season , her favourite season months , the weather condition of it and gives some suggestions about her favourite season.
ü  Aim of this:
ü  Teacher will form a background for students for the next practicing activity.




2) PRACTICING
Activity:  Introducing Your Friend
Materials
Aim of the activity
ü  Speaking skills will be improved through questions and answers
ü  Students’ speaking skills will be fostered through social colloboration



Stages:
ü  The teacher introduces the activity
ü  The teacher gives a few minutes each student to ask the questions their deskmates in the powerpoint
(what is your favourite season and why?
 what is the weather like in your favourite season?
 what are your suggestions about your favourite season?
 what are the months of your favourite season? )
ü  After students speak about the given questions, they are expected to introduce their deskmates to the classroom

3)PROCEDURALIZING
Activity:   Making up a story
Aim of the activity:
ü  The students will create their own sentences verbally
ü  Their speking skills will be improved
ü  The topic will also be internalized in terms of speking skills
Stages:
ü  The teacher begins the story by saying that ‘ It is snowy and Let ‘ s make a snowman.’
ü  After this, each student make up a sentence and it goes on.
ü  Students can change the seasons and weather conditions as they want.
