Grade: 5
Unit: 7 Like Dislike
Proceduralising Activity:
Aims:
1. Students improve their prediction abilities
2. Students can make their own sentences
3. Students pay attention the other’s sentences and they
may give feedback by thinking of what they learn
Procedure
1. Teacher makes students in groups of two.
2. One student tells the other what foods she likes or
dislikes. However she doesn’t make sentences, she only says the foods name. For
example; “apple, pears, pizza, orange, lemon”.
3. She writes the name of the foods on the board. Then
the other student guesses what she likes or dislikes. “You like apple, pears,
pizza but you don’t like orange and lemon”. The person whose like and dislikes
they are talking about respond with “Yes, I like apple, pears, pizza but I
don’t like orange and lemon”.
4. If the student who makes prediction says wrong, the
other student corrects her.
Here the students
create their own sentences and use them in communication. Then they use their
mind and they improve their ability of prediction.
