SUBJECT: Classroom Rules

GRADE: 5

TECHNIQUES and METHODS: using actions, using songs

SOURCE and MATERIALS: power point presentations, songs



ACQUISITIONS:
1)    Students learn some words about classroom rules.
2)    Students become to be aware of their learning.
3)     Students learn to practice the words they learned.
4)    They will be aware of the stress, rhythm and intonation on words.
5)    They can differentiate some words which are pronounced almost same.

-ACTIVITY 1 -

NAME OF  THE ACTIVITY: Song activity

TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY: Dancing words

AIM OF THE ACTIVITY: It’s purpose is to teach students some words and their pronunciations. And also make them aware of these words in a sentence.

PRESENTATION OF THE ACTIVITY :  In this activity I will use song which I prepared before by showing on power point presentation. Firstly, I’ll sing that song and it includes some words about our unit. But while singing it, I will care about the stres and rhythm. Then I want all students to sing with me.

-ACTIVITY 2-

NAME OF  THE ACTIVITY:  Intonation Stress Activity

TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY: Can and His Relatives

AIM OF THE ACTIVITY: It’s aim is to teach students the intonations of the words which they learn in the first activity.

PRESENTATION OF THE ACTIVITY
     In this activity, I will use 4 sentences which I prepared before by showing on p.p.p. They are related with the words which I taught in the first activity. Firstly, I’ll read by stressing the rising tones of the words in sentences, then I ‘ll want them to repeat after me by same stressing.
