TEACHING WITH GAMES
UNIT: 4- SCHOOL LIFE
GRADE: 5th
Objectives:

To raise the students’ awareness
effectively with an enjoyful game

To encourage the students and motivate
them positively
WARN UP STAGE
The teacher comes to
the class with some rule cards. She asks some questions about classroom rules
for example ‘do you know the rules of the classroom?’ etc. And then she shows
the rule cards and sticks them on the board so the students can remember them
easily during the lesson. And she says ‘today I have an enjoyful game about the
classroom rules!’ and she warns up them.
PROCEDURE
The teacher divides the
students into lots of groups. The students are peer group. One student is A
another student is B. Two groups come to the board and A students try to
describe the rule with actions without any sound and B students try to predict
the rule. The first group predicting the rule wins the game and immediately takes the rule card on the board.
After taking the rule card s/he gives it to another friend in the group and the
game continues so on
