1-    ) PRESENTATION PART

                          PROCEDURE
Listening a song
Teacher comes to class and asks some questions to his/her students about pets. Teacher wants them to remember the names of pets by asking some questions. After the questions have finished, he/she wants them to listen to the song carefully. Firstly, students listen to song and try to understand it. Later, they listen to it again and try to focus on the pets’ names and the structure of have/has got. Students both listen to the song and trying to sing it altogether. After the song, teacher wants to learn whether they understand the topic or not so he/she asks some questions like “what is the song about? Do you understand it?  And after the questions, teacher shows some pictures related to pets and mentions about them shortly.

Lyrics of the song;
HAVE YOU GOT A PET?

Have you got a pet? (2)

Yes yes I have (2)

I have got a dog and a hamster, too.

I have got a cat and a parrot, too.

I have got a horse and three fish, too.

Have you got a pet?

Have you got a pet? (2)

Yes yes I have (2)

I have got a dog and a hamster, too.

I have got a cat and a parrot, too.

I have got a horse and three fish, too.

Have you got a pet?

   2- ) PRACTICE PART

                                             PROCEDURE
Questionnaires
In this part teacher has some questionnaires for his/her students. The teacher takes his/her questionnaires that have been prepared before and delivers them to each student. After each student has taken one page of questionnaire, teacher wants them to stand up, walk in the class, and find different students to ask their questions. The questionnaires have some questions like; what is your friend’s name? Has he/she has got a pet?  If the answer is yes, which pet has he/she got?.” Students walk in the class and ask their questions to their different friends. After a while everybody sit downs again and teacher takes one student to the board. The student tries to talk about his/her answers and later teacher gives a little ball to him/her to throw one of the students in the classroom. The student throws the ball someone and later that student comes to board to talk about his/her answers. This activity goes on like this until many students have participated to the lesson.

3- ) PRODUCTION PART

                               PROCEDURE
Creating a new song
In this part, teacher wants them to create some groups and create their own songs. Teacher gives them some words (cat, dog, parrot, hamster, horse, and fish) and wants them to create a new song by using these pets’ names. Students are prepared for their own song as a group and later come to the board to perform it. This activity goes on like this and teacher aims to see all groups’ performance.
