Lesson: English
Grade: 4th
Unit: 5 – Body Parts
Pronuncation: Arm, Eye, Leg, Knee, Toe, Finger, Hand, Ear, Face, Head, Thumb, Foot, Hair, Nose, Teeth, Mouth, Neck, Elbow, Shoulder, Back, Lips, Tongue, I have got...
Aim: To pronounce related words correctly and make students aware of how these words pronounced in English
Materials: Computer, Loudspeaker, Projection Machine, Videos

PRESENT:

Teacher and students listen and watch the videos below. While watching and listening the first one, teacher pauses it and says the words and act whatever the men act in the video together with the students. While pronouncing words, teacher uses such mimics as the women use in this video to be able to make sure that students can easily get the correct pronunciation. The second one is sung by whole class.

PRACTICE:

Activity 1:
Teacher asks students one by one to make sentences related with his/her body such as “I have got small nose.”, “I have got big eyes.” as they’ve already learnt before with correct pronunciation.
Activity 2:
Students are asked to write sentences related to topic about their friends. They work as pairs. Each student tells the other to the whole class. For example; Ahmet tells like this:
Ayşe has got small eyes. She has got long hairs. and so on..
