*TEACHING VOCABULARY*                 
LESSON: English
CLASS: 4th grade
UNIT: My clothes


-PRESENT-
ACTIVITY: Washline
AIM: students will be able to hear the proper pronunciation of words for twice and put them into their long term memory permanently
MATERIALS: Washline and doll clothes
PROCEDURE: teacher ties the washline to the board and starts to swing dresses one by one by telling their names. she can also tell it like a story. for example " once upon a time there is beautiful girl has beautiful clothes. she has a pink dress..." etc.
For the second time students direct teacher and give imperatives such as swing dress , swing jean etc
Third time volunteers come to the board and they swing the clothes to the washline if students want they can give the imperatives


- PRACTICE-
 ACTIVITY: Card chain
 AIM: Students will be able to remember the clothes’ names and match quickly the name of the cloth  and the picture. students will be able to comprehend the meanings of the vocabularies from the falsh cards.
 MATERIALS: Flash cards
PROCEDURE:
Teacher distributes the flash cards to the students and she explains the rules of the activity.
One side of the flash card there is a cloth picture and the other side of the card there is a cloth name that belongs to another fash card.
The student looks at the picture and says for ex.”dress”, the student who has the name dress on her flash card puts her hand up and says “I have got dress” and then she looks at the other side of her card and says for ex.”skirt”..and the chain goes on like this.
Throught this process teacher walks into the desks and helps students when they need it.


-PRODUCE-
 ACTIVITY: Speech circle
AIM: students will be able to produce a cloth name  and keep friends’speeches on his/her mind
MATERIALS:   Ring
PROCEDURE: Teacher wants her students to make a circle.
When the circle is done teacher gives her ring to a student and want him/her to say a cloth name and give the ring to his/her friend stands near by him/her.
The student who takes the ring from his friend says the clothe name that his friend has just said and he adds a new one and the chain is tried not to be broken.
If the chain is not broken until the last student, teacher gives them a group price.
