1) NOTICING
Teacher greets the students and asks them attractive and motivating questions.  For example: “How are you? Are you happy or not?” While chatting, the teacher mentions about the students’ appearance. For example: “Oh dear, how beautiful you are today, I like your short hair… etc.”  By this way, he/she prepares the students for the lesson indirectly.  After a short conversation, lesson starts. The teacher starts with a song of adjectives. First he/she let students listen silently and carefully. While they’re listening, she teacher sings the song by using his/her body language and puts the colorful cards and posters on the wall so that the students can easily visualize the structures they’re learning, and then they sing the song together.

2) STRUCTURING
Activity: Describing a cartoon character
Materials: Pictures of cartoon characters
Aim of the activity: To make them use the language appropriately and efficiently, also give them chance to control whether they understand they’ve heard correctly or not, how much they can visualize, imagine… etc.
First of all, the teacher asks them to make a group of two and turn their back on. One student will be A and another B. The teacher gives the picture only one of them, A or B.
While A is describing what he/she sees on the picture, B will try to draw his/her friend’s description on the paper. After four or five minutes, they turn face to face and compare their picture and drawing. After that the teacher lets volunteers show their real picture and their own drawing on the board.

3) PROCEDURALISING
Activity: Describing someone
Aim of the activity:  to make them use the structures and adjectives appropriately and meaningfully.
First of all, the teacher makes the students group of 4 or 5 and hands out second worksheets, written “WANTED” on, for each group.
Secondly, ask them to choose one of their friends and describe his/her physical appearance. Each group will describe one student from another group and the other groups try to guess who it is? By this way, while they are competing, they both practice and have fun. Each group can do it for the second or third time, it depends on the teacher. The teacher mostly directs and observes the students and whenever they need, help them and give input to them. Later, the scores are calculated and the teacher announces the winner group.
Last of all, the teacher summarizes what they have done so far, answers the questions and the lesson ends.

Note: A sample of the worksheet is below.
