ACTIVITY TYPE: LOOK, LISTEN AND REPEAT
Objectives;
·
To introduce new
vocabulary, to focus on pronunciation, to make them aware of minimal pairs
Materials :
- picture cards
·
Activity 1:
Teacher brings the song about the topic
“physical education”including the verbs “jump,hop,run,swim,fun” into the
classroom, students will only listen to the song in the first time then they
will try to sing the song and do the things that are being done in the
song.They will do what the character of the song do as a class.
Activity 2:
The teacher shows the picture “jump”its minimal
pair “lump” ,”swim” and its minimal pair “slim”, “run”,“fun” and its minimal
pair “sun”,”hop” and its minimal pair “hope” and “pop” teacher pronunce them
and maket he students repeat.
Finaly, teacher shows the
pictures randomly and ask them “what is it?” and students try to find out and
say them aloud.
