Pronunciation words : What is your name ? My name is …. How are you? I am fine, thank you.

Aims:  

-         Student will be able to learn the lesson in funny way

-         Students will be able to learn correct pronunciation of words

-         Students will be able to ask questions about cartoons and meet with them

Materials: A short film (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRlRmm4kwxs), puppet (Kermit), 4 Pictures of cartoon characters.

Present Part :  

Teacher enters the class and says ‘i have a cartoon for you, i hope all of you like it.’. Then, she opens the movie and watch it twice. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRlRmm4kwxs) The students try to understand how the meeting words (What is your name ? My name is …. How are you? I am fine, thank you. ) pronunciation correctly.

Practice Part :

-         The teacher tells the students ‘ Now please work in pairs and ask each other the questions in the video. After that, i have a surprise for you!!!’’

-         Then, teachers gives some time to the students for practice enough.

-         Later, the teacher  wear the puppet,which is the puppet of kermit, in her finger.

-         The teacher start to talk ‘’ Hello, My name is Kermit. What is your name? ‘’ adress one student sits front the class.

-         The student says  ‘’My name is Aysun’’

-         Kermit replies and ask again ‘’Nice to meet you,Aysun. How are you? ‘’

-         Aysun say ‘’ I’m fine thank you. How are you? ‘’.

-         Like the same way, Kermit meets with all students.

Produce part : 

At producing part, teacher pastes four Picture of cartoon character to the board and wants from the students ask questions to them for meeting with them. They try to use correct pronuciation while asking questions.  Finally they learn cartoon’s name and how they are ‘’
