Presenting Part: In this part, students will watch a video about
numbers.
Aims: By watching this video, students will be aware of the subject
(numbers and timetables) which they will learn in the lesson. They will have
the first impression about the subject.
Time: 3 - 4 minutes
Practicing Part:
Activity: Completing a word by finding the missing letter
Teacher shows the names of
the lessons and numbers on the PowerPoint presentation. If there is a necessary
they can repeat these new words. Then they start the game. Teacher divides the
class into four or five-people groups. Then he delivers the flashcards on which
there are the names of lessons and days some letters of which are missing. He
wants students to find the missing letters and to complete the word. There is a
limited time such as one or two minutes to find out the missing letters. When
the time is up every group tells the word and the right one is awarded with a
plus. This application goes on until all days and lessons are tried to be
found. At the end of the game the winner group is awarded with chocolates or
sweets.
Aims:
This activity is
used to make students practice the new words. If they use the new vocabulary,
then they can easily understand and use them in daily life. They will become
familiar to use of those new words and they can also automatically answer
almost all questions including that subject (timetables). In addition, they
will learn working cooperatively as they work with a group. They will also
learn to share their ideas.

to 100, Prepositions of time
Materials:
A PowerPoint presentation
including timetables which can be made by teacher, Over Head Projector, Pc,
Flashcards on which there are lessons.
Time:
20 minutes
Procedure Part:
In this part,
students are asked to write their own timetables. After all students wrote
their own timetables they are asked to share their jobs and evaluated by the
teacher and their friends.
Aims: Students will use the numbers (1-60) and timetables they have
learned in the lesson. They will use have got/has got in their dialogues again
so they can have a chance to stiffen their knowledge about these terms (have
got/has got). In addition, they will produce their own timetables. They will
learn to evaluate and criticize each other so they will develop their critical
thinking.
Time: 15 minutes
