Class: 4

Unit: 9 Timetables

Language point: Telling the timetables

Presenting Part: In this part, students will watch a video about clocks. In this video there is song about a clock standing on the wall. There are also lyrics in the video. They will watch the video two times so as to become familiar to the rhythms. After watching half of the video, students will sing the rest of the song together because there are only lyrics after the half of the video.

Aims: Students will have an ability to combine lyrics with the rhythms. We can also achieve our aim to get them speak. In addition, we can get them to speak without boring them. In that case they both enjoy and speak.

Material: Video:

Time: 5-6 minutes

Procedure Part:

Aims: All of the students will have a chance to speak by making dialogue. In fact, the main aim of this activity is to make all of the students speak.

Activity: In this part, students will make a dialog activity. They are asked to come to the board two by two. One of them will ask, the other one tells his /her timetables by using have got/has got. The one who asks the questions sits and the other one stays. Then another student comes but at this time, the student who answered the questions asks the questions. This activity continues like that until all the students have a turn to speak his/her timetable.

A: Do you have any lesson on Thursday?
B: Yes, I have.
A: How many lessons have you got?
B: I have got six lessons.
A: Which lessons have you got?
A: I have Math, Art and Turkish.

There will probably be such a dialogue.
