1)NOTICING
Presenting the pictures of family members with flashcards
Materials
Flashcards of family members
Aim of the activity
·         Students’ attention is drawn and they can be aware of the family members.
·         With the help of the flashcards, students can be eager to lesson.

Stages:
·         The teacher brings the family flashcards and shows them in the classroom.
·         The flashcards include the pictures of family members such as mother, father, brother, and so on.
·         Then, the teacher begins to say some sentences with using flashcards.
·         For example: I have got a sister, I have got an aunt.







2) STRUCTURING
Making dialogues

Aim of the activity
·         Students’ critical thinking skills will be fostered through cognitive stages.
·         Students will learn working collobaratively and cooperatively with their friends.
·         They will enhance their socail relationship by working with their friends.

Stages
·         Firstly, the teacher asks some questions to students such as ‘Do you have got a uncle?, do you have got a brother?’.
·         Then, the teacher wants them to make a short dialogues by asking such these questions ‘Do you have got a grandfather?, and students will work with their pairs.
·         For instance, they will ask each other some questions such as do you have got a sister?, and they can write their dialogues.
·         At the end, they will present their dialogues on the board, firstly the volunteer students will present their dialogues, then the others.
·         If they want to get their papers while presenting their dialogues, they can take their writings, so they can feel comfortable.






3)PROCEDURALIZING

Drawing and coloring activity

Materials
A worksheet
Aim of the activity
·         Students’ desicion making skills are fostered and they reinforce their learning about the topic.
·         Students will create meaningful sentences about their family tree.


Stages

·         Teacher  hands out a worksheet each student.
·         Firstly, students will draw their family members and color them.
·         Thirdly, they will write two or three sentences under the family tree such as I have got a brother and sister. That is, they will introduce their families by using Have got.
·         After they have done this, students will hang their productions on the wall panel.
·         They will see their friends’ family trees with the help of this activity.
