Unit 8 My Weekly
Schedule
Vocabularies: Art, Music, Maths, History, Computer,
Chess, Physical Education
Presentation:
Activities: Demonstration and verbal techniques will be
used. Pictures of lessons and vocabularies related to the lessons will be
presented through Power Point Presentation.
Aim: Aim of using demonstration is to
attract students’ attention with a PowerPoint
Presentation, which has pictures and vocabularies related to the
lessons. As the Presentation is colorful and visual, the students will be able
to associate the vocabularies and their meanings more easily. So, learning will
be permanent. Aim of using verbal technique to raise students’ pronunciation
awareness.
Materials: PowerPoint Presentation
Procedure:
1) Students will be showed a PowerPoint
presentation which has the vocabularies such as
history, maths, music and the pictures related to these
vocabularies
2) Teacher will pronounce the
vocabularies several times

Teacher will ask students to repeat after him or her
Practice:
Activities: Matching the pictures and vocabularies
Aim:
Aim of this activity is to help students to internalize the vocabularies and
practice them.
Materials: Pictures of lessons and vocabularies such as history, English
music, etc.
Procedure:
1) Pictures of the lessons and
vocabularies will be sticked on the board in a mixed order.
2) Students will come to the board and
try to match the items on the board
3) If a student matches the items in a correct
way, he or she will be asked o pronounce the word
4) If a student mismatches the items,
he or she will try again.
Production:
Activity: Organizing a weekly schedule
Aim: Aim of this activity is to make students use the vocabularies they
learn.
Thanks to this activity, students are able create their own weekly
schedule by using the vocabularies they learn. As students produce the
language, learning is more permanent.
Materials: -
Procedure: * Students are asked to create their
own weekly schedule
*They will write it on the board
*While writing they will pronounce
the words.
