                                    PRONUNCIATION LESSON PLAN

GRADE:5
UNIT:14 HELP-HELPING THE FAMILY
SUBJECT:PRONUNCIATION
VOCABULARY POINT:Cook the meals,wash the dishes,sweep the floor,dust the furniture,vacuum the carpet.
OBJECTIVES:
-To make students aware of some sounds about housework
-To attract students’ attention on pronunciation
-To encourage them speak fluently
1-)PRESENTATION
Technique:Listen and repeat.
Materials :Computer,power point presentation pictures and video.
Procedure:
·         The teacher comes to the class and greets the students by asking questions such as ‘How are you, today?’.. etc.
·         Then he starts to the lesson by asking questions such as; ‘do you help your mother while she is doing housework’ ‘what do you do?’ to check them
·         Then teacher shows a video about the houseworks and write names of housework which is shown on the video.Teacher reads the words and wants students to repeat them two or three times until the students can reat in a right way.

2-)PRACTICE
Activity: Memory game
Games like ‘I went to market and bought...’and Chinese whisper require children tp repeat a certain structure or word.
-The teacher makes a sentence about housework.
-For example;’Today I wash the dishes.’theen wants students to continue by adding another word or sentence about housework
-The game continus like that if a student cannot remember one of the words about housework he or she fails and the game starts from the beginning.
3-)PRODUCTION
The teacher wants students to write which houseworks they do in pairs and share them with their classmates in class.
