UNIT: Classroom Rules

GRADE: 5

VOCABULARY POINTS: Run, listen,fight,raise, sleep.

ACTIVITY 1:Presenting the vocabulary with a turn –table.

AIMS:

   1. To comprehend the meaning of the  words from the pictures.

 

   2.  To comprehend the meaning of the words by demonstration

   3.To  practice  speaking

MATERIALS: A  Picture Book prepared with two pink cartoons,chipboard, pictures and stick.

PROCEDURE: The teacher presents the vocabulary using  a turn-table which was prepared by her. She shows each word by turning the papers .While starting with the first word,she asks “What they are doing or What is he/she doing ? “ She  wants that students can speak about pictures. Students answer questions.So,they practice about speaking

ACTIVITY 2: Role play and animation about classroom rules.

MATERIALS: Cue cards which have information and examles about what they are speaking.

AIMS:

     1.To provide the students to practice  about speaking

    2.To encourage them to speak

PROCEDURE: The teacher  divides students  into groups. Each group has three students.Then , the teacher gives students cue cards which have necessary information.He /she gives them some time to prepare their animation.After they are ready,each group comes to board and  they start their  animations. Groups  shows different classroom rules.
