LESSON PLAN

LEVEL:5th Grade

SUBJECT: Health Problems

OBJECTIVES:

Students will be able to pronounce the words correctly (sneezing, headache, stomachache, flu).

Students will be able to identify the difference between the words ( a stomachache and the flu).

Materials: a video about health problems ( http://www.englishvideolesson.com/1422-i-am-sick-song-health-problems.html  ),  four pictures (sneezing, flu, stomachache, headache) with ppt.(https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-4R854FCuXpNmg3dHJlWGFRQzA/edit?usp=sharing)

Procedure:

The teacher shows the video when teaching pronunciation. She shows the video twice. After each word she will teach, shows a picture (for example the picture about sneezing). She sings the song with the students by using mimics and gestures. After that, the teacher demonstrate the words and asks the students 'what is wrong with me', she expects them to pronounce the words. After this part, the teacher chooses four students and she sticks the pictures on their back. They will walk around the class with the song. When the teacher stops the song, she chooses one of them suddenly. She shows the picture on his/her back and she wants the other students pronounce the words. The game goes like this.

Evaluation: After this kind of activities, the students will be aware of their pronunciation. They also know they learned how to pronounce the words.
