LESSON PLAN                                                                                                                       

LEVEL:5th Grade

SUBJECT: Health Problems

OBJECTIVES: 

1-      Students learn the names of illnesses.

2-      Students learn the meanings of fever, toothache, plaster, cough and sneeze.

 

MATERIALS:  real materials such as thermometer, plaster, a video about plaster (dr. ranj www.dr.ranj.com)

 

PROCEDURE:

Stage 1:

Objectives: To attract their attention to the lesson,

                     to make them aware of the meaning of new words

Procedure:  The teacher chooses four students. She asks them to pretend like sick. She gives them some roles  about the words. (cough, fever, toothache, sneeze). They act out. After they act out, the teacher repeats the words. After this part, the teacher shows a video about plaster to make them enjoy the lesson and learn the word 'plaster'. After that, the teacher put the cards- written cough, fever, toothache, sneeze , plaster on their neck.

Stage 2:

Objectives: to make them aware of what they have learned.

Procedure: The teacher gives some worksheets to the students. These worksheets include some pictures, but they are uncolored. The teacher wants them to color these five pictures and write the names on them.
