5th Grade Unit 10 Cartoon Characters Speaking Activity


Lesson: English
Grade: 5th
Subject: Cartoon Characters
Materials: Cards written Cartoon Characters names and journalists
Aims:
1.      To give students practice in asking and answering questions
2.      To give students speaking practice in a fun way
3.      To develop students speaking
4.      To develop to communicate with each other by role playing

ACTIVITY:
Interview with the Journalist- Meet the different characters
Students will study in groups. Each group has three members. For example; one of these groups has a journalist and two different characters. The teacher gives a few minutes to students. They practice about characters feature, likes and dislikes before coming in front of the class. The teacher selects a group. The journalist asks some questions about their features and their likes and dislikes. They give answers and meet each other.
J: what are your names?
Tom: My name is Tom.
Jolly Jumper: I’m Jolly Jumper.
J: Tom, introduce about you. Tell us what you are.
Tom: ……
J: Jolly Jumper, introduce about you. Tell us what you are.
Jolly Jumper: …..
J: You, two what are your favorites or hates?
Three of them: Nice to meet you.
