STRUCTURING
ACTIVITY: Matching the colorful cards
AIM: Students will combine
what they have learned in this activity. By matching, students will develop
their knowledge about the topic and see a lot of examples. If I make them to do
the closing card activity, they will learn correct or mistake structure when
they open the cards. But if I make them to do choosing card activity, they will
have a chance to matching what they know.
I mean that I have two options.
PROCEDURE:
If I make them the closing card activity,
§
There will be a lot of colorful,
small and big cards.
§
I will stick pictures
on a face of the big cards and sentences on a face of the small cards.
§
In the pictures, there
is a child and she shows clothes but she is near or far from the objects. I
will write the explanation of the pictures on the small cards.
§
I will divide the class
into two groups.
§
I will close the faces
of the cards on the desk. They will be in a mixed order.
§
Students will come one
by one from each group. A student will choose a big and a small card.
§
If s/he chooses the matching cards (picture and
explanation), they will get plus for their group.
§
If they don’t choose
matching cards, again they will close the cards after we control the cards and they will go behind of the turn.
§
After all class chooses
their cards, the play will finish. The winner group may win a prize (chocolate
or sweat).
Or if I make them the other activity, the choosing card activity,
§
The first three steps are same. I will use the same cards.
§
Students will come one-by-one individually in this time.
§
They will choose a picture.
§
After looking at the card, they will choose the explanation card
according to the picture.
§
They will show the cards to their friends.
§
We will control them whether true or not.
§
If it is true, they will stick them on the board.
§
If it is incorrect card, they will try again and find the true card with
their friends’ help.
§
