Aims: With this activity,teacher aims to present the adjectives (tall,short,curly,straight,dark,fair,long,short,young,old,fat,thin) by using pictures. After this activity students will be able to describe physical appearance by using the adjectives (tall,short,curly,straight,dark,fair,long,short,young,old,fat,thin).Materials: Pictures,A song:

NOTICING
Activity Name:Listen and Fill in the blanks
Aim of the Activity:This is a Noticing Activity.Students fill in the blanks with new vocabulary items such as tall,short,curly,straight,dark,fair,long,short,young,old,fat,thin that they have learned or the items of a recent grammar structure learned in class (I have got…/she-he-it has got.../I am.../He-she-it is…).We will review the grammar structure has already learned by using new descriptive adjectives(tall,short,curly,straight,dark,fair,long,short,young,old,fat,thin).Students learn to identify and describe people’s physical appearance by using this structure with adjectives.
Produce(How to do it ):
Firstly,ask the students to watch a video about the adjectives because this video can draw their interest.Then,you can use a short story including physical appearances about someone else by using these adjectives.Use basic adjectives such as tall,short,curly,straight,dark,fair,long,short,young,old,fat,thin and personal information in the story.
For example;The story can be like this:
Her name is Ayşe. She is from Denizli.She is 9 years old.She has got blue eyes.She has got long dark hair.She is tall.She is thin and she is young.She has got small nose and big ears.She is beautiful.She wears beautiful dresses.She likes reading short story.
Ask the class to listen carefully and read the story aloud firstly.Then you read the story again,but you leave out the adjectives and make blanks.Ask the class to fill in the blanks.Ask the class to guess what the blanks represent.If they guess correct adjectives,you can write these adjectives on the board to show them directly.

Aim of the Activity: This is a Structuring Activity.This activity allows children to own the simple or complex language they use by involving their personalities.Also,it encourages children to speak and gives them the chance to communicate using non-verbal communication,such as body movements and facial expressions.Materials:Puppets or models

PROCEDURALISING
Activity Name: What is your favourite characters or animals ?
Aim of the Activity:This is a Proceduralising Activity.This activity can be defined as learner independence or self-directed learning.Students take more control over their learning in classes,the purposes for which they learn language and the ways in which they learn them.
Produce(How to do it ):
Ask the class to choose their own favourite character or animal.When the class is ready,ask a student to come to the front of the class and describe it to the class.If it is necessary,ask the rest of the class to take notes.When the student has finished her/his description,ask the class to guess what this is.For example;cartoon character or a dog,donkey…etc.
