GAME: SIMON SAYS
PROCEDURE: The teacher comes to the class and says: “Hi! Children... I know you like playing games. Today, we will play an enjoyable game. Are you ready?”If there is no enough space for the game, they arrange the desks or they play the game in small groups. Before the game teacher explains or shows how to play “Simon says” game. Then, students become circle and a volunteer student comes to middle of the circle. S/He gives some instructions about classroom rules. For example; he says: “Simon says: Raise your hands!”Students raise their hands. Then, he says:”Simon says: Sit down!” Students sit down. He says : “ Simon says :Stand up!” etc. Sometimes volunteer student says the command without telling “Simon says” For example: “Close your eyes” If someone shows the command, that is, close his/ her eyes, loses the game or if someone shows a different classroom rule he/she loses the game. The game continues like that and they practice classroom rules.
