DENİZ TEKİN
08131061

Lesson: English
Subject: health problems
Level: 5
Duration: 40 min.
Materials: flashcards, music video, lyrics of the song.

Aims: at the end of the lesson students will be able to;
  • Say the names of the health problems.
  • Sing the song correctly.

Procedure:
The teacher enters the classroom and greets the students. Since they know some about health problems she asks: Is anyone ill today? What's the matter with you? If you've got flu what should you do? etc. Then she starts to show the cards one by one and wants students to say the illnesses.
After they repeat all the words correctly, the teacher wants students to watch the coming video carefully. She starts the video and they watch it together. Then the teacher distributes the lyrics of the song to the students and they listen to it with the sentences. While they are watching it for the third time the teacher wants them to try to sing it together. Until the lesson finishes the teacher take students to the board one by one and wants them to try to sing the song.
The song:  I’m sick, I’m sick.
                  What is wrong, what is wrong?
                  I’m sneezing; I’m dizzy as can be.
                  A runny nose, sore throat, headache and stomachache.
                  I’m sick, I’m sick.
                  Oh! It’s the flu.
