Teaching Speaking Unit 9 Farm Life

Unit:9
Materials: Farmer hat,Cartoon objects belong to a farm







Aims :
  • Students will be able to make themselves understood.
  • Students will  try to avoid confusion in the message due to faulty pronunciation, grammar, or vocabulary.
  •  Students will  develop communicative efficiency in speaking .
  • Students will be able to pronounce the animal names correctly.

Activity 1 Interviewing farmer

Teacher brings clothes and items belong a farmer.One student pretends to be a farmer.Other students ask him/her different questions in order to find out what s/he likes and who s/he is. 
For example: • Where are you from? • Do you like milk ? 

Activity 2 Narrating a Story 

Teacher brings students several sequential pictures. Students are asked to tell the story taking place in the sequential pictures by paying attention to the criteria provided by the teacher as a rubric. Rubrics can include the vocabulary or structures they need to use while narrating.
