PSYCHOLOGICAL  AIMS
ü  Songs create a stress- free environment for learners especially young ones
ü  Songs motivate the learners in a positive way
ü  Songs provide a fun, non-threatening atmosphere
ü  Songs help the students develop their  feeling of achievement


COGNITIVE  AIMS 
ü  Songs develop good study habits
ü  Repetition in the songs enables children to predict what comes next and to consolidate language items
ü  Songs sensitize children to rhyming clues as aids to meaning
CULTURAL  AIMS
ü  Authentic source can contribute to the cultural component of a language programme, encouraging comparisons
ü  Songs provide an acquisition of the target language
LINGUISTIC AIMS
ü  Pronunciation provides individual sounds and sounds in a connected speech such as linking, rhythm and spelling etc.
ü  Intonation helps the children distinguish between different aspects of English pronunciation.

PRESENTATION PART
ACTIVITY: A MASKED MAN
AIMS:
§  To introduce a new language with the young learners
§  To change the students’ mood
§  To change the atmosphere of the classroom
§  To get all students’ attention
§  To practice and revise the target language
MATERIALS: lots of cards which include some clasrrom rules and stickers
 PROCEDURE: A masked man ( the teacher) comes to the class and asks some questions to the class such as ‘how are you, do you know any song, who wants to tell the classroom rules?’  and s/he sticks the rule cards on the board. And s/he sings the song of the classroom rules by showing the cards on the board.

PRACTICE PART
ACTIVITY: Singing together
AIMS:
§  To practice the new language
§  To develop the students’ social relationship with each other
§  To develop the students’ ability of pronunciation, sounds and intonation
§  To provide  a fun and stres-free environment by singing together
MATERIALS: number cards
PROCEDURE: Ten students come to the board and the teacher gives the numbers from one to ten to each one. And one number starts to sing the song after then two after then three so on.. other ones of the class say the rules composing of the song. So all class can sing together the song of classroom rules.
PRODUCTION PART
ACTIVITY: create your own song
AIMS:
§  To produce a new song about the classroom rules
§  To develop their social interactions with each other by working groups
§  To provide the students to make practice about the topic
MATERIALS: a board marker, some classroom rules on cards piece of paper
PROCEDURE: the teacher divides the class into the groups, s/he writes some key words about the classroom rules such as sleep, raise your hand, listen etc. And then s/he wants them to create their own song about the rules by using the key words. The students as  groups write their own song and finally they read their song in front of the class.
