Speaking Activities

Aims:
1) Students improve their own speaking abilities
2) Students improve their imagination while speaking
3) Students can speak fluently
4) Students learn the food names and how to pronounce them
Activity 1
1) Teacher says that they will complete a story together
2) She starts with these sentences: “One day, Ali feels that he is hungry. He wants to eat something but he can’t decide what he wants to eat, so he goes to near his mum”
3) Then the teacher points out the first student to go on this story
4) Each student will say just one sentence. They can add new characters, foods etc.
5) The teacher can correct the mistakes, if the students make mistakes. She can write some important mistakes on the board
6) After they finish the story, students may act if they have enough time to do this
Activity 2
1) Teacher divides the students into four groups
2) She says that all groups choose two foods they like. 2 – 3 minutes later, the teacher asks the first group leader on the board
3) By the way, the second group starts to describe their first food. They will say only three sentences and the student on the board will draw it. If he knows the food, the group get the plus
4) Then the second leader of the first group comes to the board snd guesses the other food
5) All the groups perform, the winner group is applauded
