5th Grade Unit 14 Help Vocabulary Activities

UNIT          : 14. unit

SUBJECT   : HELP-HELPING THE FAMILY

TIME         : 45’





Present Activity

  The aims are;
1        To attract the students' attention
2        To activate their schemata
          To increase their level of awareness.

As the materials; I can use computer,pictures and a box

The procedures are;
·         The teacher comes to the class and greets the students by asking questions such as ‘How are you, today?’.. etc.
·         Then he starts to the lesson by asking questions such as; ‘do you help your mother while she is doing housework’ ‘what do you do?’ to check them
·         Then, he shows students a puppet and explains what the things are that it will do in the class
·         Teacher selects o written paper from the box show it to students and read it loudly and then he wants students to repeat it and then put it on the board.Until the written papers finish teacher does it.
·         After reading them he controls whether they have learned the names of the things that teacher said or not





Practıce Activity

The aims are;
1-)To control whether they have learned or not
2-)To struggle to make the students engage in the activities and learning.

The materials are written papers.

The procedures are;
           -The teacher brings the written papers to the class. There are short explanations in them.
-Then teacher selects a student and wants them to do what the paper said and students   try to predict which housework this is.
     - The activity goes on in this way.


Produce Activity

The aims are;
       To make the students use the language and grammar they have learned.
2      To make them active in the lesson activities.

The material is the papers about helping the family and pictures.

The procedures are;
·         The teacher writes the names of some patterns about the housework on board
·         Then shows a picture related to pattern and the first one who reaches the pattern wins.
