TEACHING GAMES

Unit :            Physical Education
Grade :        7th
Aims :          To make students involve learning actively
To make students enjoy the lesson
To practise what the students learn with “can”

Game 1 :    City guessing

It is a game which I adopted the country guessing game. In this game you choose a country and then make sentences about this country your partner or class try to find which country it is for example
Egypt
You can ride on a camel
You can see pyramids
You can see many mummies
You can ride a boat on the Nile river then your partner tries to find out which country you are talking about.
In my game, students choose a city and makes sentences about this city then the partner tries to find the city.
Game 2:      I can brainstorming

The teacher chooses one object and ask students to brainstorm things that they can do with it, e.g. “I can break a pencil” or “I can balance a pencil on my nose”.The teachercan ask them to demonstrate their ability.
Game 3 :    The board game
The teacher says we will play a game and put the materials on the ground. He points the starting place and finishing place. There are papers on which numbers from 1 to 7 are written he put the numbers in the order between starting point and finishing point. He prepares the game setting. He want students to create questions about “can”. He gives some time to think and ask the class who wants to be volunteer because a students who will the play is needed and the student comes to the board and stands on the starting point. The class starts to ask questions and the student tries to answer the questions if he knows the question, moves to number 1,if he knows another question moves the number 2 and he tries to get the finishing point and complete the game.
