4th Grade Unit 5 Body Parts Teaching with Games

Unit: 5

Language points: vocabulary such as head, shoulders, knees, and toes.

Aims:              to make students psychologically prepared to unit.

  
                     

Game 1: body dice

Materials: dice, paper, pens, and board

Procedure:

ü  Teacher writes the numbers 1-6 on left or right side of the board.

ü  Teacher draws an arrow for each number to a body part

ü  Teacher gives a paper and put some pens in the middle.

ü  Student 1 rolls the dice and says loudly and number and the body part that encounters the number.

ü  Students 1 draws the body part and gives the dice next student.

ü  If a student rolls the same number s/he has rolled, the dice passes next student.

ü  The first students who finishes whole body wins the game

Game 2:

ü  Teacher writes the words – eye, nose, hair, ear, mouth, shoulders, feet, legs, hands, fingers, toe- on the board randomly.

ü  There will be two groups in the class.

ü  They get in line.

ü  When the teacher pronounces a word which is on the board, the one who finds word firstly, pronounce the word and get the point.
