4th grades

Unit 4: Clothes

GENERAL AIMS

We often give stories to children to read  because all children love stories. In stories, there are excellent world, sometimes characters create magic, they respect their feelings,thoughts.. with the help of storytelling, student’s listening skill enhance. Stories encourage usage of imagination and creativity, increase student’s willingness.

Story: story is about fiona and her clothes. I wrote this story and I organize level of fourth grades students. Usage of vocabulary is very easy.

FIONA’S DAY

Once upon a time, there was a little girl and her name is fiona. She is very poor girl, she is unhappy because her mother was dead. Her stepmother didnt like her. She didnt buy new clothes to  her. One day fiona sees beautiful new dresses on the vitrine. Suddenly something amazing happened. Young lady came and start t oto talk fiona. She saw her glance. She said that’ I want to buy new dresses, new shoes, new skirts, new socks, new hats for you. Fiona is very happy. At the end of the story they go to the shopping centre to buy new clothes for fiona. Fiona had a wonderful time.

Pre-story Telling

I introduce the story to students. I talked about storiy’s characters and topic. I talk about it is fun.

While-story Telling

I start to read my story. I emphasise names of clothes and while I am telling the story ,I show them using my clothes. I use my clothes and pictures of clothes.
If students don’t understand some words or sentences I read them again but second time I read them slowly and so they become more understandable.

Post-story Telling

After telling the story,I will ask question whether they understand the story or not. I want students to summarize the story briefly. I will show pictures and I want students to pronounce clothes name. This part will go on.
