Aims:
ü To make students remember pets
ü To provide students to keep language and vocabulary
points in their minds for a long time
ü To improve students’ listening skills
PRESENTATION:
Activity 1: Prelistening
activity
Material: pet’s worksheet
Teacher distributes to students a worksheet which
includes pets’ pictures and asks them to write pets’ names under the pictures.
Teacher provides to remember the names of pets.
Activity 2: Listening to
and singing the song
Teacher makes students listen to the song twice. After
that s/he asks them to sing the song together.
The lyrics of the song:
Do you have a pet?
Yes, I do. I have a cat and her name is Lou.
Do you have a pet?
Yes, I do. I have a dog and his name is Shoe.
Do you have a pet?
Yes, I do. I have a fish and his name is Glue.
I have a cat. He has a dog. She has a fish.

PRACTICE:
Activity: song worksheet
Teacher gives students the worksheets and asks them to
fill in the blanks with missing words while listening.
PRODUCTION:
Activity: Making their own song
Teacher makes students groups of four people and gives
a colorful paper to each group. There are three pets in the song so teacher
asks them to add the other pets to the song. After they have completed the
activity, they say the song like in the song video.
For instance: Do you have a pet?
Yes, I do. I have a hamster and his name is blue.
