5th GRADE UNIT 6 PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHING VOCABULARY

LESSON: ENGLISH

GRADE: 5th

UNIT: 6 PHYSICAL EDUCATION(can and can’t)



Aims: students will learn some words which are usually used  with abilities.
         Students will have funny lesson with a ‘’vader ‘’ robot.
Materials: a robot and a list of simple action verbs





 NOTICING

The teacher bring a list of action verbs and a  toy robot. He starts his lesson wit introducing it to students. Then he tell some features of the robot. He says what an robot can do or what it can’t do.


RESTRUCTURING

The teacher gives a handout to students in which there are many animals pictures. The students will try to use appropriate verbs in blanks. They will use grammar pattern ‘’ can and can’t’’  Students will compare their answers with their friends.



PROCEDURALIZING

The students will be pairs. They will create their own robot and they can use ‘’Vader ‘’ but with different names. They will introduce their  robot and they will give information about him to their friends. For example; they will say what the robots can do or can’t do.
