4TH GRADE UNIT 5 BODY PARTS TEACHING SPEAKING

Grade: 4

Unit: 5

Language points: Speaking, the use of have got/has got.

Aims:                             Students will be able to use the structure “have got/has got”
                                       Students will be able to use simple adjectives “long/short- big/small”
Materials: Presentation



NOTICING:
            Look, Listen and repeat:
ü  Teacher shows pictures and sentences on the slides.
ü  Teacher reads loudly sentences.
ü  Students repeat after teacher reads the sentences
ü  When teacher accepts that pronunciation is good, he/she goes on new slides

RESTRUCTURING:
            Drawing their character:
Ø  This activity is individual.
Ø  Every one of the students draws their character on a paper in ten minutes.
Ø  When they finished drawings, one of the students comes to the board.
Ø  He/she begins to tell his/her character to class.
Ø  They listen to student and try to draw the character.

PROCEDURALISING:
      Making dialogues:
v  This activity is done with pairs
v  Two students begin to make a dialogue.
v  They make their own sentences.
v  They are free how to make sentences and use them
v  This activity is for developing social skills and developing fluency in speaking.
