4th Grade Unit 2 My Classroom Speaking Activities

UNIT 2 :MY CLASSROOM

Grade:4th

Speaking focuses:to talk about classroom by using classroom objects

Materials:video,pictures

Aim:To teach students to talk about by using classroom objects in a collaborative way



PRESENTING

Main point: Using some words in speaking: pencil, book, rubber/eraser, ruler, dictionary, notebook, school bag, notebook, pencil case, sharpener, door, table, board

 Activity: Watching a video

            Students listen to a song about classroom objects. The song will help them to remember classroom objects.

Aim:    In this part students watch a video about classroom objects.The song will activate their schemata.Thanks to the song students will remember objects and will be able to use them in their speaking.

PRACTISING

 Main point: Using some words in speaking: pencil, book, rubber/eraser, ruler, dictionary, notebook, school bag, notebook, pencil case, sharpener, door, table, board,chair.

Activity: spot the differences

   There are 2 pictures.Students work in pairs and try to identify differences between two pictures.While they are working, teacher controls and guides them.

 Aim: This activity helps students to work in a fun and collaborative way on how to speak by using the words they have learnt before.This activity helps them to speak in target language through using some basic words.
