5th Grade Unit 9 Farm Life

GRAMMAR POINT    : Animals’ names and like and dislike structures

PRESENTATION
Aims are ;
  •  To learn basic words in unit.
  • To learn grammar functions of new vocabulary.
  • To learn meaning of the new words,
  • To learn pronunciation of new words.

Materials are;
  • Presentation

Procedures are;
  • The teacher comes to the class and greets the students.
  • She tells them that they will learn about farm life, animals , how they are pronounced and what the meaning of the words are.
  • She starts the presentation.
  • In it, there are pictures of farm animals and names , then the teacher tries to teach the students the names of the animals.
  • Then, it is time to give the features of animals. For example; the Picture is pig. The sentence is ‘it likes playing with the mud.
  • The students learns both how words are pronunced, what their meanings are and remind like and dislike grammar points.


PRACTICE
Aims are;
  • To  be able to make the students use what they have learned in practice.

Materials are;
  • Animals flashcard.
  •  Matching pictures with their right words and features.





Procedures are;
  • After presentation, the teacher starts a practice named ‘ Which animal is it?’
  •  The animal flashcards are put on the blackboard and their features are also put on the one side of the board, randomly.
  •  She wants the students to match the pictures with the right features and names.
  • Those who are willing to do this practice come to the board and match them.
  • The activity goes on like this.
       




 The features of the animals are these;
It likes eating grass,
It likes eating wheat.
It likes playing with the mud.
It makes milk.
It likes running fast.
