5th Grade Unit 8 My Favourite Activities Pronunciation Activities

                                                    PRONUNCIATION

Grade 5

Unit: 8 – My Favorite Activities

Pronunciation Points: Swimming, playing football, Riding a horse, Singing, Fishing, Surfing, Cooking, Studying

Materials: Board, power point presentation



Aims: 1) To pronounce words correct

           2) To make students aware of some words beginning with the same sound.

           3) As they repeat, they will learn how to pronounce the words

Warm up activity: Show the students the power point presentation and make them learn how the words pronounce.

Activity: Bell Game

Procedure:  Divide the class into teams and have them send one person to the front of the class. Give each member a bell.  Next, show them a card with a sound on it.  If they know the sound, tell them to ring their bell.  If they are correct they get a point.  If they are incorrect the other teams can answer the question and get a point.
