point:pronunciation of the names of foods and learning some features of
pronunciation
NOTICING
Activity:powerpoint
presentation, lecturing, repetition
Materials:computer,
projector, blackboard, board marker
Aim:The aim
of this part is to make the students aware of pronunciation of foods’ names
and some letters such as “sh, ch, p, b, n, ng”.
Procedure:The
teacher shows the pictures of foods in the slide and pronounces them, then the
students repeat them.After this activity, the teacher writes some letters such
as “sh, ch, p, b, n, ng”, writes some example words about these
letters.Firstly, the teacher makes them produce some sounds such as “şşşşşşşşş(shshshsh),
çıçıçıçıçı(chchchchch), pıpıpıpıpı(pppppp), bıbıbıbı(bbbbb), nnnnn(nnnnn)”.Then,
the teacher shows and pronounces the example words of them, the students repeat
them.

Activity:Apple
game
Materials:Blackboard,
board marker
Aim:The aim
of this part is to make them use and produce.
Procedure:The
teacher draws a big apple on the board and divides it into four part.The
teacher divides the class into group.Each group will find four words about
these sounds”sh, ch, p, b, n, ng” when the teacher says and they will write
them on their paper.The first group who raise their hands, write them on the
apple and pronounce correctly will be the winner.
The teacher
will give ten points to each group who have become the winner.Finally, the
group who take the most points will be the winner of the class.
PROCEDURALISING
Activity:Recording
their voices
Materials:Computer,
tape recorder or phone
Aim:The aim
of this activity is to work individually and develop their pronunciation.
Procedure:The
students will find the names of foods and some example words about “sh, ch, p,
b, n, ng”.Then they will pronounce and
record them at home.Then they will bring them to the teacher.
