           To introduce new grammar input by using visual materials.
           To make students understand the topic clearly.
Procedure
The teacher enters the classroom with some pictures about the subject. She/ he says “Hello” and asks “How are you?” The teacher says that “Today, you will learn what can you do and what you cannot do” then the teacher starts to show pictures and to use his/her body language. For example; the teacher shows this picture;

   Then, the teacher asks:
-“Can she swim?” and answers,
-“Yes, she can swim”. The teacher acts like he/she is swimming at the same time. And also the teacher gives negative examples. After each example, the teacher sticks each picture on the board, then he/she sticks the cards related to picture under each picture and students repeat after the teacher.
STRUCTURING

Procedure
The pictures are still on the board. The teacher removes the cards from the board and he/she sticks the cards on the board in a mixed order. Then the teacher wants students to match the cards and pictures. The teacher chooses voluntary students and they come to board and match the pictures and cards one by one. After this activity is finished, the teacher passes another activity.

The teacher distributes the interview sheets each student and wants student to interview themselves and their friends. The teacher gives instructions such as; ıf you or your friend can do… put tick, if you or your friend can’t do… put cross. After the students complete their interviews, the teacher chooses voluntary students. They come to board and say the interview results by using “can” or “can’t”.
For example: I can cook.
                    My friend can’t cook.
After students explain the results, the teacher thanks students and he/she finishes the lesson.
