5th Grade Unit 10 Cartoon Characters Vocabulary Activities


Grade:                        5

Subject:                      Cartoon characters

Method and techniques:  PPP and cartoon characters cards (Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Garfield, Sylvester and Tweety, Mickey Mouse and Mini Mouse. These are some of them.)

Process:
Activity 1:
Demonstration: First of all, teacher shows to students cartoon characters presentation. In this presentation, there should be cartoon characters pictures and their names. Teacher emphasizes their names. Students figure out their names and learn their names. It is first step.
Activity 2:
Practicing: (What is missing?)Teacher brings cartoon characters cards to students. S/he shows all cards and then s/he hides one of them. Afterwards, teacher wants them to find missing cartoon character card. They practice cartoon characters names and learn all of them.
Activity 3:
Consolidating: Teacher wants them to find cartoon characters word stars. They collect some cartoon characters names and they prepare words.
