- Activity Name: Listen and Repeat
Procedure:
The
teacher opens the Power Point Presentation of toys with their pictures and
pronunciations of their names. While
replaying the pronunciation for the second time for
better understanding of the new
vocabulary about the toys, students are told to repeat the
names of the toys. During this, students
can write down the names of their favourite toys.
Then the teacher asks students randomly
to say their favourite toys.
Materials: PPP of Toys
with pronunciations (toys_pronunciations.ppt)
- Activity Name: Bingo!
Procedure:
Students
work in pairs for this game. The teacher hands out Bingo cards to each pair.
The picture of the toys on the cards
must be different from each other. Then she randomly
picks a word card and says the name of
the toy to the students. When a student hears one of
his or her words on the card, he or she
crosses out the picture of it. The first pair with all the
pictures crossed out, shouts “Bingo!”
and is the winner.
