Songs, 4th grade, Unit 13 Toys

CLASS: 4

MATERIALS: Pictures, song

OBJECTIVES:

1. Students will be able to learn the names of the toys

2. Students will be able to improve the pronunciation of toys.

3. Students will be able to develop positive attitudes towards the target language.

4. Students will be able to develop a class and group identity.

 TEACHING SONG

PROCEDURE

            A. PRE-SONG

Activity 1: Teacher sticks the pictures of the toys on the board in order to activate students' schemata before the song and draw their attention. They come to the board and write their names under the pictures.

             B. SONG

Activity 2: Students  listen to the song twice. Then teacher chooses 14 volunteers. Each of them takes one of the pictures of toys and waits in front of the class. Teacher pronounces the names of the toys from beginning to the end. Teacher starts the song. When they hear the name of the toy, they should step forward without looking at the video.

            C. AFTER SONG

Activity 3:  Students  listen to the song again. Teacher wants students to sing the song. Students are divided into groups of five. The lyrics. of the song on a paper is  distributed. they write their own versions. Groups come to the board and sing their song acting out and using some objects in the classroom.
