  • To warm up students to the lesson
  • To attract students’ attention to the lesson

Procedure:

Teacher gives to each student a flashcard which is a picture of a school store item. By the way, there should be 5 or 6 of a kind according to the number of students. For example, there are 5 picture of pencil and 5 picture of ruler so on. Students form a circle. Teacher chooses a volunteer and he comes in the middle of the circle. The teacher says “pencil”, and students who have the picture of pencil change their place with each other.  The student who is in the middle tries to get a place in the circle. A student who can’t get a place comes in the circle and the teacher says “pencil case”, students who have pencil case changes their place immediately. And it goes on. If teacher says “school bag”, every student changes their places randomly. Thanks to this game students have fun and learn the names of school store items with pictures.
