Noticing

Aim :  to appeal students’ attention to the lesson through story.

To teach basic vocabulary about sports’ names and meaning.

To teach usage of like and dislike

            Teacher first introduces the Tom and Jerry to the class. She says Tom is a sly cat and Jerry is a clever mouse. Then she asks short and simple questions about them. She asks them whether they have any of them at their home and such questions. Next she makes thwm watch a ppt about activities. the yrepear the words together.Then, she shows students some pictures about favorite activities and wants them to say their names as they already covered them.

Structuring

Aim : to provide students many exercises and activities

             She makes the students watch the power point presentation. She says it is about sports , like and dislike. Students try to guess what is happening in the story. She gets all the answers and then she tells the real story. 


Story: 
                                                                 TOM and JERRY



Once upon a time, there is a cat and a mouse. The cat’s name is Tom and the mouse’s name is Jerry. They live in the same house. Jerry is lovely. Tom is sly but he is very stupid. Tom is a stupid cat. Sometimes they are good friends sometimes they are enemies to each other.
Jerry likes eating cheese but tom doesn’t like cheese. Tom likes eating fish and mouse. These animals are very skillful. They like doing sportive activities. ‘‘what do you like doing Tom?’’ asks Jerry. ‘I like playing tennis and playing volleyball’’ says Tom. ‘‘do you like  playing the piano and playing the guitar?’’ asks Jerry. ‘‘Yes, I like playing the piano and playing the guitar ’’ says Tom. Moreover He likes going surfing. He likes skiing. He likes sleeping very much, but He doesn’t like riding on a swing.
‘‘What do you like Jerry’’ asks Tom. I like drinking tea and eating cake , sugar and ice cream’’ answers Jerry. ‘‘Do you like reading books Jerry?’’ asks Tom. ‘‘Yes , I like reading books’’ answers Jerry. Tom likes reading books, too. Tom and Jerry both like reading books. In addition, Jerry likes having a bath. Tom and Jerry like both having a bath. They also like drawing pictures and having a sunbath. Moreover, Tom and Jerry like cooking. Tom likes skiing. Jerry likes skiing, too. Tom and Jerry both like skiing. They both don’t like smoking because it is very  dangerous. Jerry likes driving a tractor. He likes riding a bicycle. Jerry likes driving a car. Tom likes driving a car, too. Tom and jerry both like driving a car.
However there is a big problem. Tom doesn’t like Jerry and Jerry doesn’t like Tom ,at all. They don’t like each other. They dislike each other. Tom wants to catch the Tom and eat him. They always have a quarrel and they always fight. The sly cat Tom makes plans to catch Jerry secretly. However Jerry is a clever mouse. Tom runs after Jerry ,but Jerry can escape from him. Tom can never catch Jerry and they live forever in the same house. 



            Then, they listen and repeat the activities, what Tom and Jerry like or dislike. Next teacher sticks some pictures to the board and students match them with correct meanings. Moreover, teacher says an activity and students find which picture it suits. They say utterances about animals’ favorite activities. Teacher also asks scanning questions such aswho likes eating fish.They compare their predictions and the real story.
Teacher ask students for which activies and sports they remember from the story. And then,
She draws a table to the board like that :

Tom likes
Tom doesn’t like
Jerry likes
Jerry doesn’t like
Tom and Jerry both like
Tom and Jerry both don’t like






















































and wants students complete it.

Procedurelazing


Aim : to provide students with producing their own languages.

            Teacher will show the other power point presentation which is again Tom and Jerry with different pictures and require students to write a story about what happens . teacher gives them enough time to write it.
