4th Grade Unit 4 My Clothes Song

LESSON: ENGLISH
CLASS: 4TH
UNIT: CLOTHES

General Aim:
            All of us know that the more children enjoy, the better they learn English. Songs are one of the most beneficial ways while teaching English to the young learners. We can use songs in many different ways. I plan to use songs after teaching the unit as a practice part. I will use a song in a video. All children will sing this song after learning.



LESSON PLAN
            Pre-teaching song; I will teach the clothes. We will study the clothes that we have learned together. I will use some flash cards. We will study and repeat the clothes. Teaching song; as a warm-up activity, we will sing a song about clothes. Firstly, children will listen and watch the video of the song. At the same time, they will see the written form of the song in the video. I think that they will enjoy with this video. I will make them to listen the song twice before singing. After listening, children will try to sing the song by looking at the video and at the same time with the video. As children are accustomed to the song, they will feel relax and start to sing without looking. Lastly, I will close the video. Children will sing the song together without video. Post-teaching activity; I will ask the questions about the song. Some of these questions:
-          Which cloth does the first girl wear?
-          Which cloth does the first boy wear?
-          Which colour is the dress?
-          Which colour is the skirt?
