Activity
Name:
Bingo!
Aims
of the activity:
·
To motivate
learners to participate in the activities by creating an enjoyable learning
environment.
·
To provide
social interaction among young learners.
·
To encourage
students to work in pairs.
·
To raise their attention
to the new vocabulary about toys.
Procedure:
Students work in pairs for this game. The teacher
hands out Bingo cards to each pair.
The picture of
the toys on the cards must be different from each other. Then she randomly
picks a word
card and says the name of the toy to the students. When a student hears one of
his or her words
on the card, he or she crosses out the picture of it. The first pair with all
the
pictures crossed
out, shouts “Bingo!” and is the winner.

Aims
of the Activity:

To
teach and make them aware of ‘have got/has got’ and ‘there is/there are’
structures.
·
To create
fluency of using “have got / has got” structure by repeating sentences
·
To make them use
their physical energy while learning new language
·
To understand
and answer the questions which are asked them
·
To motivate
learners to participate in the activities by creating an enjoyable learning
environment.
Procedure:
After the grammar issue “have got / has got” is handled in the noticing
part, the
students play
“The Ball” game with teacher. Students stand up in a
circle around the teacher.
The
teacher starts the game by tossing the
ball to a student while asking a question, e.g.:
"Have you got a doll?" The student responds and throws the ball to
another student while
asking
another question about toys he / she has. As the game goes on, the question
types range
from
being about the next coming student to about previous students e.g.: “Has Samet got a
truck?”
The game continues in a circulation until there is no one left, who didn’t ask
or
respond
a question.
