5th Grade Unit 9 Farm Life Game

Unit: Farm Life , 5th grades
Language point : Vocabulary point ; Animals ,  Grammar point ; like &dislike patterns
Game 1 : ‘’ What am I ‘’
Materials : identification cards 
Procedure : Students will take an identification card by the teacher . Each of them is supposed to read what is written on identification card and ask the question ‘ what am I ‘ to the class. Other students will guess what animal is that.

Game 2: ‘’ I go to farm and I see… ‘’
Materials : Students themselves
Procedure : This is a cooperation game. The teacher stars the game by saying ‘’ I go to farm and I see a horse ‘’ the other student keep on adding animals ‘’ I go to  farm and I see a horse and a cow ‘‘ , another student keeps and add ‘’  I got to farm and I see a horse, a cow and a pig ‘’ ….

Game 3: ‘’Pin on  Backs ‘’
Materials : Pictures of farm animals
Procedure : Each student is supposed to stick an animal picture on his back. The gamer turns his back and ask questions to his friends like ‘’ Do I like bones ?, Do I like milk ? ‘’ . Other students answers as yes or no and the gamer try to guess what the picture is .

Game 4 : ‘’Competing wordstars  ‘’
Materials : Wordstar cards
Procedure : This is a competitive game. Here, the students are supposed to write five animal names in each five corner of the star.  Anyone who finishes first;  becomes the winner of the game .

Aims

-Students will be able to memorize the vocabulary items about  the houseworks

-They will able to pronounce them correctly

-Students knowledge of vocabulary will improve

Procedure

After the grammar issue and the words are thought,teacher says that today we will play a game.For this

 game,teacher divides the class into two groups and brings box and pictures to class.Teacher puts the 

pictures to wall so students can remember the householdchores.After teacher divides the class in two groups

 he put some pictures into the box about the householdchores.One by one teacher calls a students and wants

 them to select a picture from the box.After student selects the picture he\she acts in front of the class and

 students try to predict the picture.Game goes on like that.In the end the group that knows most wins the 

game.

Materials :box and pictures
