Teaching Game, 4th grade unit 10 Birthday,

TEACHING GAMES

 UNIT 10: Birthday

GRADE: 4th

Language point: Students learn to pronounce the names of months in a correct way (January fabruary march)  


Aims:

·         Children learn how to pronounce the words that they have learned.

·         Teacher raises children awareness of good pronunciation by playing an enjoyable game.

·         Thanks to an enjoyable environment, students learn how to work in a collaborative way.

·         Children feel more confident thanks to the enjoyable environment.

·         Children have a chance to improve their listening and speaking skills.

Materials:powerpoint and posters.

                           
                  
PROCEDURE
1-puss in the corner
      Teacher has a game for his/her students in this part. He/she firstly present name of the months. Then he hangs  the posters on the corners of the classroom.  (on which is written name of the seasons) Then teacher divide Students into four groups. Each group has a different season name(which cover three months) groups go to their own corner and make a line.when teacher say the name of the two months from different seasons these students who are in these corners change their place with each other. Student who are end of the lines from the two groups are out of game.
