Unit 4 My Clothes, Teaching song

CLASS: 4th grade
UNIT: My clothes
LANGUAGE POINT:  Clothes
AIM: 
To trigger students’ schemata
To make the class entertaining and interesting
To create relax and stress-free environment






-PRESENT-
ACTIVITY:  Listening to the my clothes song and watching its video
AIM:  To make students aware of the names of the clothes
PROCEDURE:
Teacher comes to the class and asks the students how they are.
After a short conversation teacher opens the song without letting students know what the day’s topic.
Students watch the video and then teacher asks whether they have an idea about the topic. Students give their answers.
If students wish, they watch the video once more

-PRACTICE-
ACTIVITY:  Duet
AIM:  To make the students work collaboratively
MATERIALS:  Toy microphone

PROCEDURE:  
Teacher divides the class into five groups.
Each group member picks up a lyric from the song and they come to the board as group and they sing the song one by one.
The student who sings the song holds the microphone then hands it to his/her groupmate.
As group they make duet.

ACTIVITY:  Music&Lyrics
AIM:  To make students create a video clip
MATERIALS:  
PROCEDURE:
Again students work in groups and this time they write their own lyrics on the music
As a group they come to the board and with using materials they sing their song and act a video clip to their song out
