GRADE 5 UNIT 8 MY  FAVOURITE ACTIVITIES

TEACHING GAME

OBJECTIVES:

1. To break from the norm

2. Making boring subjects more interesting

3. Vocabulary and parts of speech

4. Critical thinking

GAME and PROCEDURE:

The name of the game is ‘Find What I Like’. Students make a circle in the classroom. Desks are arranged for this circle shape. There is a one volunteer. The volunteer will be in the centre of the circle. He/she will act whatever he/he likes. But there is a one condition. The volunteer will act what they have learned in that lesson. He/she can use ‘swimming, dancing, singing, skiing, drawing pictures... etc.’ Namely, the volunteer will act the favourite activities. The other students will guess what the volunteer acts. Who knows the acting, then he/she will be the one who is in the centre and the game goes on in that order. Meanwhile, the teacher keep the points on the board.

MATERIALS:

1.      Arranged desks for circle shape of the students.

2.      Board for keeping points.
